Organ

Born in 1972, he began his musical studies in Llerena (Badajoz) with Araceli López, continuing them at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where he studied piano and organ with Mª Teresa Fúster and Anselmo Serna, respectively, obtaining the Award of Honor for Merit in the organ specialty. He later continued his organ studies in Barcelona with Monserrat Torrent and completed his advanced studies in harpsichord and basso continuo in Madrid with Tony Millán. He has performed in various organ and music cycles and festivals, including the Christmas Music Cycle at the Manuel de Falla Auditorium in Granada; “Music in the Cathedral of Astorga” (León); “Music in its Architecture” by the College of Surveyors of Madrid; “Spanish Music for Organ” in the concert series of Radio 2 (RNE); the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando (Madrid); the Organ Cycle at the Palau de la Música in Valencia; the Organ Cycle of the Focus Foundation at the Church of Los Venerables in Seville; the Holy Week Music Cycle at the National Auditorium in Madrid; and the series “Baroque Musical Exercises” and “Maestros de la Real Capilla” of the Juan March Foundation. He has performed at the Riga Early Music Festival (Latvia), the Breszizce Early Music Festival (Slovenia), and the Estonian Music Festival, and has also performed in several US cities, including San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, and Washington. He has collaborated as a soloist and continuo player with various vocal and instrumental groups, including Schola Antiqua, Amarillis Consort, Zarabanda, La Folía, the Extremadura Symphony Orchestra, the Villa de Madrid Chamber Orchestra, and the Cáceres City Chamber Orchestra. He was professor of organ at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Palencia and currently teaches organ and harpsichord at the Official Conservatory of Music “Hermanos Berzosa” in Cáceres.
