Yuko Inoue

Harpsichord and Fortepiano

Yuko Inoue's wide-ranging talent was already evident in her childhood. After completing her bachelor's degree in piano at the Music College of Tokyo, she became interested in historical keyboard instruments and completed her studies there with a Master of Music for harpsichord.
She studied early music with Ketil Haugsand and graduated with a Master of Music in Fortepiano and with a concert exam at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
After her debut concert in 2004, Yuko quickly established herself as a harpsichordist and fortpianist with numerous appearances as a soloist as well as in chamber music, in Japan and in Europe, including with the Classical Philharmonic Bonn, the Cologne Chamber Orchestra, the Aachen Symphony Orchestra, the Baroque Orchestra Norway and at the Utrecht Festival voor Oude Muziek, West Coast Early Music Festival.
Since 2015 she has been a continuo player for the Ringve International Summer Course for Early Music in Trondheim, Norway.
Today Yuko lives in Cologne, she gives concerts and works on CD recordings. Her first CD (on the Simax label, released in 2019): "The Art of Emotion" lets you hear how Yuko coaxes all the emotions of the music out of the fortepiano in an incomparable way. More information https://www.cembalino.com
